Snackies from THRIVE LIfe

THRIVE Life just introduced a new line of products!  They call them Snackies and there are quite a few options.  Some items are things we have seen prior, however they do have some fun mixes (not the most clever names but healthy and yummy!).  I haven't tried all of them yet, but am excited to try them all soon!

I love Zaycon Chicken!  Fresh chicken breasts for a great deal!

They aren't delivering until November (in my area), but often sell out before hand so it is always good to get signed up early on!

Pears 2015

Oh, summertime!  I love the fresh food and opportunity to preserve things!  One of our favorite foods to eat throughout the year would have to be pears!  So, I thought I would let you know where I get my pears from....

Last year I was introduced to "The Pear Bears".  I got a 40 pound box of pears for $28!!!!  That is $0.70 per pound!!!!  Luckily, she is able to keep the price the same for this year.  She gets the pears from The Pear Guy and his farms are located in Medford Oregon. (Pears above and below are from last year!)  For more information you can go to his website.   The Pear Bears has pick up locations in Davis/Weber/Cache counties in Utah and I believe one location in Idaho as well.  

If you would like to order pears, you can let me know and I will get the numbers into The Pear Bears, or you can contact her as well (she is so friendly and kind!).  She needs numbers by the end of July though, so make sure to contact one of us before then!

I am BACK!

After having a vacation from blogging, I am returning :)  I have decided to focus more on the necessities of life though.  You may see a bit of a change in what I am posting.  Feel free to let me know if you want me to expand my postings; however, for now look for those things that will help you to "live on cents and prepare your shelves ;)

Happy New Year

2014 was a year of learning and growing (some that wasn't so welcomed but looking back has helped to refine me into a better person... isn't it funny how that works?).  I have had time to think about what I really want to do with this blog. For 2015 one of my goals is to re-evaluate priorities, which in turn means that this blog gets to follow suite too!

No worries, I will still post ways to save money, be more frugal and some deals; however, I do want to focus on preparing our shelves a little more.... Not just our food storage shelves, but our spiritual and emotional shelves.  Sometimes we get too caught up in everything that is on the to-do list that the most important things get left behind...  So, here is to a new 2015 and the opportunity to become more prepared in all aspects of our lives!
