Oh, summertime! I love the fresh food and opportunity to preserve things! One of our favorite foods to eat throughout the year would have to be pears! So, I thought I would let you know where I get my pears from....
Last year I was introduced to "The Pear Bears". I got a 40 pound box of pears for $28!!!! That is $0.70 per pound!!!! Luckily, she is able to keep the price the same for this year. She gets the pears from The Pear Guy and his farms are located in Medford Oregon. (Pears above and below are from last year!) For more information you can go to his website. The Pear Bears has pick up locations in Davis/Weber/Cache counties in Utah and I believe one location in Idaho as well.
If you would like to order pears, you can let me know and I will get the numbers into The Pear Bears, or you can contact her as well (she is so friendly and kind!). She needs numbers by the end of July though, so make sure to contact one of us before then!
